Rhinoplasty is recommended to remove the following congenital or acquired aesthetic defects:
Correction of the shape of nasal bridge;
Reduction of the size of nostrils or correction of the wings of nose;
Correction of the shape of nose tip;
Reduction of the width of nasal bridge;
Correction of all other defects of the nose and nasal septum including deviations and deformations that result from the trauma.
During the surgery excess bone and cartilage are removed in the volume which is necessary to form a correct, clear profile.
Often the ideal shape of the nose can be achieved only by reducing the length of nasal septum. Normalerweise, such rhinoplasty does not affect the bone, the surgeon removes only a part of the septal cartilage.
The operation is carried out by method of closed and open access, through the nostrils and leaves no marks on the face.
The rehabilitation period after the surgery of rhinoplasty is 7-10 Tage.
By this time swelling and bruising usually passes. After the surgery the patient can be supposed to wear a gypsous splint on the arch of the nose during 1- 2 Wochen. The final effect is estimated in 2-3 Monate. During the first few days it is recommended to sleep with elevated head and to avoid very hot and very cold food.
