A feature of stem cells that determines their value is the ability to self-renew, divide and transform into cells of various organs and tissues in the human body. Stem cells have long been appreciated by physicians, in particular in Germany they have become the basis of a unique method of treatment. The list of diseases for which such therapy is prescribed is very wide. These are chronic and neurological diseases, autoimmune diseases.
Due to their unique feature, stem cells can replace the decaying and dying cells of organs affected by disease or injury. The launched process of self-renewal can stop the development of the disease, as well as prevent the aging of the body. The direction of medicine in which stem cell therapy is practiced is called reactive medicine. German doctors are increasingly using this therapy. The versatility of stem cells lies in the fact that they, unlike organ cells, do not have a specialized form.
The following types of therapy are distinguished:
Obtaining embryonic stem cells from an embryo at an early stage of development. Sensitive cells are obtained and propagated in the laboratory. The effectiveness of the process depends on the presence of complications. In their absence, cells divide quickly, actively and easily;
Already non-embryonic, but not yet adult stem cells are obtained from a fetus with formed internal organs. They are called fetal. With a slowed-down process of change, they are distinguished by increased endurance and accelerated self-renewal.
The process of isolating adult stem cells is already complicated due to their significant similarity with other cells in the body. These cells can produce their own kind all their lives, and they are also able to copy the properties of only some specific cells of the body;
The body’s own adult stem cells are called autologous. Their use makes it possible to refuse donor assistance. Therapy with this type of stem cells is indicated in Germany, as a rule, in the treatment of hematological diseases. After separating the cells, they are transplanted to the patient, they will settle in the bone marrow, where they will create new cells.
Stages of Stem Cell Therapy
The first stage is preparation. The patient undergoes diagnostics, receives an explanation from the doctor about how the transplant will go.
At the second stage, blood is taken from the patient, from which stem cells are isolated in the laboratory – they are grown, multiplied, after which, after about 8-10 days, they are sent back to the clinic to doctors. In the meantime, the patient has already undergone additional procedures prescribed by a specialist – the goal is to strengthen the body, so the effect of therapy will become stronger.
In the last stage, the cells are transplanted to the patient, leaving him in the clinic, where he is monitored by doctors. Usually, the patient can go home on the same day, having previously undergone a medical examination.
As an accompanying therapy in the appointment of stem cell treatment, such therapeutic measures as Regeneresen therapy, turmeric treatment, chemotherapy, thymus, resonance frequency and ozone therapy are used, intravenous vitamin C and vitamin B17 are prescribed. Also, doctors give the patient individual advice regarding nutrition.
