Kök hücre tedavisi

Kök hücre tedavisi, bir hastalık veya durumu tedavi etmek veya önlemek için kök hücrelerin kullanıldığı bir yöntemdir.[1]

Kemik iliği nakli en yaygın kullanılan kök hücre tedavisidir, ancak göbek kordonu kanından elde edilen bazı tedaviler de kullanılmaktadır.[2]

2016 yılında Gürcistan’lı bir çocuğun otizm spektrum bozukluğu rahatsızlığı kendi kordon kanı kök hücreleri kullanılarak tedavi edilmiştir.[3]

Kemik iliği mezenkimal kök hücrelerin derişimi yaş ile katlanarak hızla azalmaktadır.[4]
