Jharkhand 2024 Election Results: A Resounding Victory for the JMM Alliance
The 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election results, announced on November 23, have reaffirmed the dominance of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance. The JMM, in coalition with Congress, CPI(ML) Liberation, and RJD, secured 56 of the 81 seats, showing significant progress from their previous win in 2019. Under the leadership of Hemant Soren, the JMM emerged as the largest party, winning 34 seats. The alliance’s victory was further bolstered by Congress with 16 seats, RJD securing 4, and CPI(ML) Liberation contributing 2 seats. In contrast, the opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), suffered a significant setback, capturing just 24 seats.
