Summary
Study of lipid peroxidation processes and general antioxidizing activity of plasma and blood erythrocytes of
the patients with congenital heart disease (Eisenmenger’s Syndrome) were carried out for the first time. It was
shown, that in the patients with Eisenmenger’s Syndrome with intimate NYHA insufficiency of I-II class as well as
III-IV classes the lipid peroxidation processes in plasma and blood erythrocytes are considerably activated. Thus,
general antioxidizing activity of blood plasma also is reduced. The change of free-radical processes, probably,
is connected with the expressed damage of lung vessels, and, in turn, can result in deterioration of vessel
endothelium status and organs distrophy, which develop under the conditions of heart insufficiency.
KEY WORDS: Eisenmenger’s Syndrome, lipid peroxidation, general antioxidizing activity.
